The Social Group enjoyed their second visit to Tennants Auction Rooms last week, and once again it proved to be a fascinating and enjoyable day.
Members were entertained throughout the visit with talks about the history of Tennants, how the auction rooms are run, and some amusing anecdotes about interesting objects that have been sold there over the years. We were also given the opportunity to look around the impressive building and see behind the scenes of this well-known auction house.
The day was made even more enjoyable with tea, coffee and refreshments, a delicious lunch in the lovely bistro, followed by tea and cake in the afternoon.
On the journey home, the group made a brief stop in Richmond to see the waterfalls, providing a lovely end to another very enjoyable Social Group outing.
