GARDEN OUTINGS VISIT TO BREEZY KNEES GARDENS NEAR YORK

WEDNESDAY 5TH AUGUST 2026

August’s garden outing is to Breezy Knees Gardens, Warthill which is 5 miles north of York. Described by Monty Don as “a beautiful modern garden created on the grandest possible scale”. Breezy Knees features award winning gardens, a specialist perennial nursery and café.

The gardens cover over 20 acres and are one of the largest gardens in the North of England. It has over 10,000 different varieties of plants and there is a lot to see. There is a succession of flowers all the way through from May to the end of September.

The cost of the outing is £40 (£27 for transport and £13 admission to the gardens) This may reduce if we get a lot of people wanting to go.

Two mini buses are available (32 seats) and they will leave behind Costa Coffee in Seaham Harbour at 10 am.

Names will be taken for this outing at the Monthly Meeting on Wednesday 27th May and 24th June. £5 deposit will be required on the 27th May with full payment due on the 24th June or 29th July.
