Looking Back On July

July was a busy month for our U3A, at the beginning of the month the Gardening group spent a lovely day at Burnby Hall Gardens..

for those of you who missed the trip click here to see more of the gardens, a visit is highly recommended.

The Strollers have had a pleasant month strolling around Seaham enjoying the warm weather and ending with a coffee and a giggle in Roobarb and Custard more photo’s here.

The Film Club enjoyed watching Swimming with Men with seventeen members attending on July 25th, the film club will be taking a break in August but will be back on Thursday 26th September and will be showing  the film Bohemian Rhapsody.

Despite the dreary weather last Saturday the Red Hatters enjoyed their Caribbean Cruise on the Tyne

An afternoon of great food, Rum cocktails, great company with a fun loving crowd on board and lively Reggie music they danced the afternoon away.

Thank you for the great feedback about the weekly reminder posts, also introduced to the website in July was a new Events tab which can be found next to the Diary tab at the top of the home page, here you can see all upcoming events at a glance.

If you Click on the Events tab you will find a monthly calendar which you can download or print,  In the upcoming U3A Events section just click on the date of the event you are interested in and it will take you directly to where you can find more information.

There is also a Local Events section where you can find information about local craft and fitness classes for which U3A members have previously expressed an interest.

If anyone has any information about local or U3A events they would like me to include please contact me, you can find my contact details in the crochet section here.
