Forensic Day

Calling all budding detectives.

After the success of our last Forensic day with Norman Kirtlan we have arranged for a repeat performance, using different case studies, on Wednesday 10th Oct.

Norman is a retired Police Inspector, who worked for Northumbria Police for 31 years and a specialist in forensic reconstruction as an artist.

Working with  British and European  Police forces he has been responsible for the identification of unknown victims and the arrest of murderers and rapists. He is an author of true crime books and illustrator of children books.

The morning session will  cover ‘Clues from the Grave’, Profiling Jack the Ripper.  In the afternoon, ‘Murder in Amsterdam’ which looks at a case Norman worked on involving two mummified bodies. Reconstruction from human remains and age progression.  In his last visit he used different scenarios and was such a success many members have asked for another visit.

The cost will be £15 and include refreshments and beef baps and roasties.
