Durham Energy Day

The U3A Northumbria Region are holding an Energy Conference on 11th April 2018 at Durham University.
The growing importance of ‘Green’ renewable energy, driven by our concern for the environment,
is now gaining traction. The actual costs of some of the renewables has seen a dramatic cost
reduction, making it a more realistic economic opportunity, and this could change the balance of
how we consume energy.
This series of lectures will explore the history and the changes and opportunities related to all areas of this industry. including government policy, cheaper fuel and/or poverty, fair profit??,ethics, etc .
Professor Jon Gluyas and his team of specialists  together with John Lloyd have worked closely to put together a really informative and interesting set of lectures on all aspects of this important subject.
Full details of the days activity are given on the regional web site at:     https://u3asites.org.uk/northumbria
