Whilst out walking last week (4th August) at Causey Arch and surrounding area the walking group came across a little treasure called Birkheads Secret Garden.

Where is it and what is there?

Three acres of garden situated between Beamish Museum and Tanfield Railway. There is a coffee shop as well as a gift shop.

How much does it cost?

• Admission to the gardens is £4.20 for a senior per visit
• Access to the coffee shop and gift shop is free
